The Fiji Teachers Union hopes that the Interim Government will keep its word and restore the remaining 4% pay cut for the thousands of civil servants.
FTU's General Secretary, Agni Deo Singh their only concern at this stage is whether the restoration of the pay will be back dated.
Speaking on Village, Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry assured civil servants that the PSC will soon engage the unions in talks on the restoration of the four percent pay cut for which provisions have been made in the 2008 budget.
