The old capital city will become an open invitation to disaster if people do not step up to save the heritage.

Those are the words of Levuka Town Administrator Napolioni Masirewa who said that there are plans to organise a workshop to maintain the buildings in Levuka.

Masirewa also said that there are not enough funds to carry out the works in Levuka to maintain the state it is needed to be in adding that there are issues to be resolved.

He also said that they met with the Heritage Committee on Friday to discuss some issues.
