The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority officers and Staff Association is calling on newly appointed FIRCA chairman Peceli Vocea to step down from his other positions.

Association General Secretary Kenneth Zinck stresses that Vocea, who is also the chairman of the FNPF board and Permanent Secretary for Finance, holds a number of key positions and a conflict of interest is bound to arise.

Zinck said one clear case where this will arise is in the leasing of the FNPF's new Nasese complex by FIRCA.
