Those were the terms of a new initiative program by the Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service (FPCS) in Taveuni called "Restorative Justice for Dalo Thieves".
Principal Prison and Media Liaison Officer Fred Elbourne explained this initiative is for inmates, who are sentenced for dalo farming theft.
Elbourne said this is to educate prisoners to work hard and not to turn to stealing other people's property.
Today, inmate Isake Naicolavalu will be the first to start the replanting program.
He was sentenced to one month imprisonment for stealing one bag of dalo.
This means he will be re-planting five bags of dalo at the plantation from which he stole the crops.
