The stay order which was granted by Justice John Bryne last night to stop the process of the Draft People's Charter will not dampen the spirit of the SDL party.

SDL leader, Laisenia Qarase confirms their next step will be the hearing of the originating summons filed by the party to be heard next in court next week.

However, the Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Saiyed-Khaiyum last night said that the Justice Byrne had also granted a stay on all further proceedings in the High Court pending the determination of the State's appeal on the primary ground that the State cannot be inducted under Section 15 of the State Proceedings Act.

Qarase earlier said they were disappointed with the stay order granted by Justice John Bryne.
