Tourism Fiji has confirmed that they have seen an increased number of Australian tourists in the country.
Chief Executive officer Josefa Tuamoto said increased new airline services between the 2 countries has brought in new tourists from Australia.
Meanwhile, Tuamoto said Tourism Fiji is confident that Chinese visitors figures could well go into triple digit growth in a very short time.
He confirmed Fiji’s 2010 visitor intake figures from China are already showing a massive 90 percent plus spike for the first 2 months of the year.
He said the high level of interest now being shown in Fiji by the Chinese market was extremely promising given that official visitor arrivals figure for the January-February 2010 period had already shown a 93.2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2009.
