State witness to the conspiracy to murder trial, Luke Toa was cross examined by Defence Counsel Akuila Naco yesterday to tell the court about the trip to the training site in Wailase, Naitasiri.

Luke Toa said that a van picked him up from his home at Wainivula where he went with Lance Corporal Peniasi Kuli, Sevuloni Kaidreli, Barbados Mills and Sivaniolo Naulago.

Naco asked Toa whether they used sticks for the training and whether they had to crawl on the red mud, Toa said yes.

Naco also asked Toa who was their trainer at Wailase, he mentioned Mills was training them but it was Kuli who was the leader of their group.

Toa also told the court that after the training that afternoon, they travelled back to Suva to meet at Ballu Khan's house where they washed themselves because their clothes were covered with red mud after the training at Wailase.

Naco asked Toa what is the relationship between him and Kaidreli in reply Toa said his father and Kaidreli's father are brothers.

The eight accused persons are the Qaranivalu, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Ramulo.
