The Ministry of Land and Mineral Resources is currently carrying out a review of state land registration.
Lieutenant Colonel Neumi Leweni said an effective system of state land registration needs to be in place adding that poor policing of state land and developments undertaken on these lands have always been a concern.
He said that the ministry will now focus on how state land could be utilized to ensure maximum return to the Government.
The Ministry said as of May this year, rental arrears stands at 22 million dollars and 284 state leases expire at the end of this year.
