The Digicel Fiji Sevens run-on team for the first match of the Hong Kong Sevens tournament has been named.
Captain Setefano Cakau, Nemani Nagusa and Waisea Nayacalevu are in forwards.
Nikola Matawalu will run at halfback, Metuisela Talebula at playmaker, Joeli Lutumailagi at rover and Sikeli Vuruna on the wing.
Fiji’s most successful coach in the 15s Rugby World Cup and former 7s and 15s Wallaby, Ilivasi Tabua said the coaches have named a very strong starting lineup which should give Fiji a good start in the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s team had its captain’s run this afternoon where captain, Setefano Cakau stressed to his players that he cannot carry the load alone.
Cakau said all the players need to carry out their respective roles to the best of their ability.
Fiji will take on Scotland at 9:06pm tomorrow before tackling France at 5:32pm and Australia at 10:46pm on Saturday.
