The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament, which gets underway tomorrow at the Post Fiji stadium, will be one of the best this season, as top players from around the country including overseas based players, will be vying for a place in the 12-member squad to the Hong Kong and Adelaide 7s tournaments.

Fiji 7s Coach, Joe Savou said competition amongst the players will be high and only the best will be selected. Savou cannot comment further as he is currently meeting with the National 7s selectors - Ilivasi Tabua and Jope Tuikabe.

Top players that have been confirmed to play for their respective clubs and have a good chance to make the Fiji squad are: Nasoni Roko, Mosese Luveitasau, William Ryder, Lepani Nabuliwaqa, Marika Vunibaka, Semisi Naevo, Setefano Cakau, Tomasi Mawi, Emosi Vucago, Lemeki Duidomo, Epeli Dranivasa, Akuila Nawerecagi, Iliavi Satala and Napolioni Naulia, to name a few.

Meanwhile, Japan based William Ryder will play for his PWD Bure Lautoka Club at the tournament.

PWD Bure Lautoka Coach, Solo Waqa said Ryder was first selected to play for Fiji from the PWD Bure Lautoka side and his return has boosted the team's chance of winning the tournament.
