Stakeholders are keeping their fingers crossed that an investor will step forward by later this week and offer to pump in around $15 million to partner with the Tuvalu government to get Air Fiji Limited back into operation as soon as possible.

Tuvalu Transport Minister Taukelina Finakaso confirmed to Fijivillage that it was decided at the Air Fiji Board of Directors meeting in China on June 13th that the best option available is for the Tuvalu government to find a partner to revive the company.

Finakaso held a number of talks with interested investors last week and say matters are now out of their hands and all they can do is wait.
