The Fiji Visitors Bureau stressed that stakeholders in the tourism industry are doing their fair share to try and take the industry to new heights.

As the FVB awaits word on their request for $26.5 million for various promotional strategies next year, Chairman Patrick Wong said this is only part of the funds pumped in by individual stakeholders to attrack tourists to our shores.

Wong stressed that for every dollar the government spends on tourism, stakeholders pump in five dollars.

And after Luxury adventure ship the Tui Tai was recognized as one of the "25 Best Trips for 2009" by National Geographic Adventure magazine, Wong said the company is a good example of what tourism industry stakeholders are doing for Fiji and its people.
