Staff has to lead by example as this really helps in the transformation stages of an offender.
Those were the words of Fiji Prisons and Correction Services Commissioner, Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua who said while the effort to reform must come from the offender, acceptance from society, it is the prison staff that have to lead by example.
Navalurua adds this is all part of the Yellow Ribbon campaign with plans to positively reform prisoners improve prison infrastructure and facilities and get society to better accept offenders in society.
