Fiji's only Psychiatric Hospital, Saint Giles is currently undergoing a $50,000 renovation sponsored by the Rotaract Club of Suva.
Club President and Programs Director, Roshika Deo says the work which began in mid May is focused mainly on the Kitchen area and they hope to complete renovations by next month.
According to Deo, the renovation is part of the club's community project. So far the old wooden store room has been removed and a new concrete room built, the kitchen redesigned and the repainting has started.
Deo adds that on average they have a total of 8 people on site during the weekends who work both days of the weekend and is calling for more volunteers.
