Digicel Fiji Sevens Team coach Iliesa Tanivula will know at the Sri Lanka Sevens this weekend whether he has the players who can win him his first Dubai Sevens tournament next weekend.

Top teams like the New Zealand Legends, Samoa Barbarians, Australia, South Africa Vipers and Kenya are also participating in this two day tournament testing out their combination for Dubai.

Tanivula, with 6 new players making their debut in the IRB Sevens Series, has a team that also consists of some experienced players in the Sevens code which he can rely on to win him the Sri Lanka Sevens.

Fiji is in Pool A with Spain, Korea and Malaysia.

Australia and Kenya are the top seeds in Pool B, while Samoa Barbarians head Pool C, and the New Zealand Legends will face the South Africa Vipers in Pool D.

The Sri Lanka Sevens will start on Saturday.
