Natabua High School sprinter Isoa Me has been named as Team Fiji's flag bearer to the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India.
Me was one of the stars at this year's Coke Light Games, and has also represented Fiji at International events in Athletics.
Me who was surprised to hear his name announced as Flag bearer, said it has strengthened his aim of winning a gold medal for Fiji.
Meanwhile, Chef De Mission Chris Yee said they are aiming to improve their rankings from their last Commonwealth meet in 2004.
Team Fiji's 23 athletes and 8 officials will be leaving the country next Tuesday.
