Team Fiji's sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo is keeping her fingers crossed to see if she has made it to the semifinals in the women's 400 metres event.

Bulikiobo has finished her race in Heat 2 where she came fifth with a time of 52.24 seconds. Italy's Libana Grenot Martinez won this heat in a time of 50.87 seconds.

The top 3 from each heat qualify for the semifinals with the best three other athletes.

It seems that Bulikiobo may not qualify as other athletes in other races have better times than her.
