Fiji's sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo is highly likely to become the first ever, Pacific Island athlete to qualify in two events at next month's Olympics in Beijing.

Bulikiobo has so far qualified to compete in the 400 meters event and is aiming to also qualify in the 200 meters.

She set a new Fiji National Record and South Pacific Best time of 23.23 seconds in the International Athletics meet in Cork, Ireland.

Bulikiobo is only a mere 3/100ths of a second off the Olympic Best Qualifying time for the Olympics in the 200 meters.
