Wonder wing Bryan Habana has said the Springboks will have to lift their game “10 notches” to beat the All Blacks in this weekend’s Rugby World Cup semifinal.
Habana left no doubts about the challenge presented by the defending champion when he fronted a media conference at the team’s Guildford Hotel ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Habana, who has played 115 tests, has a good strike record against the All Blacks since first meeting them in 2005.
He has eight wins and 14 losses from his 22 tests against New Zealand and has scored seven tries.
Habana said the South Africa versus New Zealand clashes has always been special as they look back at the past World Cup clashes.
South Africa will meet New Zealand at 3am Sunday in the first semifinal while Argentina will meet Australia at 3am Monday in the second semifinal.
