Springboks coach Peter de Villiers was left to assess his side’s high turnover count in the 39-20 loss to the Wallabies in the Tri Nations opener.

However, he praised the Wallabies brilliant counter-attacking abilities.

De Villiers has also confirmed he plans to make a few changes ahead of Saturday’s Test against the All Blacks and insisted the absence of 23 frontline players from the touring party was not by choice.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks will be strongly fancied to win their fourth straight test against the Springboks, but Springboks captain, John Smit said that doesn’t diminish South Africa's chances of defending their Rugby World Cup crown.

The All Blacks and Springboks match kicks off at 7.35pm this Saturday in Wellington.
