Springboks forward Frankie Horne said they will make sure emotions do not get the best of them during the knock out stages of the South Africa 7s.

Horne said the team has been motivated to win at home after the passing of former President Nelson Mandela.


Horne also said it was touching to see all 16 teams and the referees pay their respects to Nelson Mandela in the stadium that bears his name.


Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7s team will now face Samoa at 11.39pm in the first cup quarterfinal of the South Africa 7s tonight.

This is after they topped pool A beating Australia 26-5, France 27-7 and Scotland 29-12.

In the other cup quarterfinals tomorrow New Zealand meet Kenya at 12.01am, Argentina takes on France at 12.23am and South Africa meet Portugal at 12.45am.

The cup semifinals start at 3:49am tomorrow and the cup final will be at 6:30am.
