The Fiji Barbarians sevens team was thrashed by the Springboks in the semifinals of the Namibia Sevens Tournament.

The Aisea Tuilevu coached side went down 28-0 to Paul Treu's men although they tried hard to get back into the game but the South African players defended superbly.

South Africa went on to win the final beating Zimbabwe 61-14.

Springboks captain Mzwandile Stick was in great form, displaying a sublime sidestep, as he regularly cut through Zimbabwe's defense.

Zimbabwe was the surprise entrants in the final after they upset Argentina 19-14 in the second semifinal.

Meanwhile, hosts Namibia gave the 2,500 strong crowd plenty to cheer about with a magnificent performance after they beat Samoa 24-14 in the Plate Final.
