Springboks backs coach Dick Muir said that the defending champions have a plan to stop Alesana Tuilagi also known as the Samoan Bulldozer.

South Africa plays their final RWC Pool D game against Samoa tomorrow.

At 121kg, the Leicester Tigers wing Tuilagi is one of the most lethal attacking forces in the game and one that Muir is very familiar with.

Tuilagi played a warm-up match for the Sharks in 2007 when Muir was the head coach of the Super Rugby side.

Asked whether he had a specific plan to combat the power and pace of Tuilagi, Muir joked: they haven’t got a sniper!

Samoa have impressed at the RWC with a far more structured game plan and while less exciting for fans, it certainly has the attention of the South African staff.

The Springboks are viewing the match against Samoa as sudden death.

The Springboks and Samoa match kicks off at 7.30pm tomorrow.
