The Springboks have beaten the All Blacks 27‑25 in their Rugby Championship clash last night thanks to a Patrick Lambie penalty from 55 metres out and just over a minute remaining on the clock.

In a test match of the highest quality, South Africa dominated the first half to lead 21‑13 at the break.

The All Blacks came alive in the second half with Ben Smith and Dane Coles crossing within five minutes of each other to give them a 25‑24 lead in the dying stages.

Lambie converted the winning penalty in the seventy-ninth minute to hand New Zealand its first loss since December 2010.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says that they had lost the test in the first 35 minutes of the game.

New Zealand still wins the Rugby Championship.

Meanwhile, Argentina's won for the first time in the Rugby Championship.

The Pumas have beaten Australia 21‑17 in a controversial test match in Mendoza.

The Wallabies were on the wrong end of a 16‑8 penalty count and were without their skipper Michael Hooper for the final seven minutes of the match after he received a contentious yellow card.

The Pumas overcame a 14‑nil deficit and outscored Australia 13‑3 in the second‑half to secure the drought‑breaking result.

It's also Argentina's first win over the Wallabies in 17 years.
