The spotlight is on the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt today.

Bolt will compete in the 200 meters final this afternoon.

Another gold medal would add to his journey to Olympic Immortality.

Bolt ran his fastest time of the season to win his 200m semi‑final in 19.78 seconds but USA’s Justin Gatlin missed out on a place in the final.

American LaShawn Merritt, who has run 19.74 seconds this year, is likely to pose the biggest challenge to Bolt in the final.

Canada’s Andre De Grasse is also a favourite in the final.

But Usain Bolt believes he can break his world record of 19.19 seconds and could even go under 19 seconds in the final.

The Men’s 200 meters final will be held at 1.30pm today.
