Spoon fed policy not part of this govt
Colonel Tikoitoga said that over the past years, people in the province was always waiting to be "spoon-fed" by past Governments and that is not the case for the current Government, as one of the main issues they are addressing is that they will only help those people who are helping themselves first.
The Commissioner also told the people of Naitasiri that they had to understand the fact that no-one in the province should admit that they are poor, as they have a lot of land for agriculture which they can cultivate, and achieve what he calls "GREEN GOLD".
Colonel Tikoitoga told the people of Naitasiri that the changes will only eventuate if they work together with Government, the Vanua and the Church and change their priorities.
Colonel Tikoitoga added that if the people of Naitasiri should not give up, they have the resources around them, and they only have to change their mindset to reap the rewards.
