Sponsors of the Inter-District Championship which gets underway next week, Courts Homecentres, is calling on all teams taking part to uplift the spirit of the sport, play a hard, clean game and showcase the best in their ability and skills in the sports.

Speaking at the launch of the torch relay at the Courts Homecentres store in Suva yesterday, Anil Senewiratne said that as good sports soccer players, all teams should show a sense of discipline spectators will enjoy during the five-day meet.

From Suva, the torch will travel down to Sigatoka and all the towns between the two towns will be covered.

On Thursday, the torch will travel from Nadi Town to Prince Charles Park where it will be lit to open the championship.

Lautoka is the defending champions of the tournament after they beat Ba 1-nil in the final last year.

The Courts Homecentres IDC kicks off at Prince Charles Park on Thursday.
