A cloud of doubt now hangs over the sponsorship of National Soccer League by CJ Patel Pacific from the next season.

CJ Patel Pacific General Manager, Pranil Singh confirms to Fijivillage that they want top eight teams of this year to play in the Super Premier league from next season.

He added this is to make the league more competitive and draw more crowds to the matches.

Singh said there should be automatic promotion and demotion of two teams from Premier to Super Premier division from now onwards and Fiji Football should get away from playing the promotion relegation series.

CJ Patel Pacific has been sponsoring the National Soccer League for the past three seasons and according to Singh, they invest up to $250,000 per season.

This matter will be discussed at Fiji FA’s Annual General meeting on the 9th of next month in Ba.

Meanwhile, the Courts IDC will kick off on the 10th of next month at Govind Park.
