The spending habits of tourists are changing and we must accept that.
Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said while it is anticipated that it may be favourable for tourists coming here to spend more due to the devaluation of the Fiji dollar, we must accept the fact that this may not happen straight away.
Wong said he has seen that tourists are more inclined on spending their money on seeing the cultural side of Fiji, instead of spending on luxury items.
The President of the Suva Retailers Association Himat Lodhia had noted that visitors to our shores are no longer targeting to purchase luxury items as the prices have become comparative to those in their home country.
