He has spent four years in international limbo and Fiji-born Henry Speight’s Wallabies dream has been put on hold again just four days before he becomes eligible to play for the Wallabies.

Speight’s frustrating hamstring strain has put his Test ambitions on hold for at least three more weeks as he stays in Canberra to do rehabilitation instead of making his Wallabies debut against Argentina this Saturday.

Wallabies playmaker Christian Lealiifano described Speight as “the best winger in the world” and was adamant the Fijian-born 26-year-old could be parachuted straight into the Test set up.

Brumbies teammate Joseph Tomane will join the Wallabies on the Gold Coast after making his comeback from injury.

The Wallabies will play Argentina at 10.05pm this Saturday while the All Blacks will face the Springboks at 7.35pm.
