Fiji born and Brumbies winger Henry Speight scored a try to help his side thump the Highlanders 30-19 in their match last night.
As early as the third minute of the match, Speight fended off Highlanders winger Hose Gear and powered his way through Ma’a Nonu for the opening try to hand his team a lead which they never lost.
The Highlanders suffered their seventh straight defeat of the season.
For the Brumbies they now consolidated their place at the top of the Super Rugby standings, scoring three tries to one, in their sixth win of the season.
Meanwhile, at 4.35 this afternoon the Chiefs meet the Reds while at 7.35 the Blues take on the Hurricanes, the Rebels play the Kings at 9.40 while at 11.45 the Force meet the Crusaders.
