Fiji born ACT Brumbies winger Henry Speight may wait a little longer to make his Wallabies debut as the International Rugby Board debates his Australian qualification.

It's understood that Speight could be eligible to play against Wales on November 30 in the last game of the Wallabies' spring tour but IRB officials are considering his status because of a stint in the New Zealand provincial competition in 2011 and his Wallabies dream could be put on hold for another 12 months.

Speight was left out of the 32 man spring tour squad on Friday while nine Brumbies were included in the grand slam tour of Europe.

Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie wasn't prepared to take Speight on tour if he was only eligible to play against Wales.
