Speed not a concern - Waqa
Fiji 7s Assistant coach, Etuate Waqa even agrees and said that with Joeli Lutumailagi and Miti Nacagelevu not in the current squad, selectors have brought in new players that could inject speed into the team.
According to Waqa while many may not agree with this, rugby fans should understand that it is not all about speed now in the sevens circuit.
Meanwhile the official Digicel Fiji Sevens 16 member team to the New Zealand and the USA Sevens are expected to be announced later this week.
Some of the possible names that will be announced today are Waisea Nayacalevu, Sekonaia Kalou, Lepani Botia, Setefano Cakau, Jimilai Naikadawa, Emosi Vucago, Metuisela Talebula, Jone Tiko, Joe Naisilisili, Osea Kolinisau, Dan Rawaqa, Isimeli Taqea, James Brown, Avenisi Tuinubu and Aminiasi Nava.
Fiji is in Pool C in the NZ 7s with Wales, Argentina and Tonga.
The New Zealand 7s will be held in Wellington next Friday and Saturday.
