Rosko Specman and Dylan Sage have been added to the Springbok Sevens squad as injury cover for Werner Kok and Cecil Afrika.

Kok, the current World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year, sustained a knee injury in Dubai over the weekend, while Afrika has a troublesome hamstring.

South Africa won the Plate Final in the Dubai Sevens tournament.

The South Africa Sevens team will be aiming for a third home title in a row when the inaugural Cape Town Sevens will be staged at the 55,000 seater Cape Town Stadium this weekend.

Specman has played in six World Rugby Sevens Series tournaments so far for South Africa.

Coach Neil Powell will name his 12 man squad on Thursday.
