The special team formed to investigate allegations that some police officers are allegedly involved in drug trafficking is now looking for evidence to support the allegations.
Officer-in-charge Drugs ASP Sakeo Ganivatu said the investigation will take some time after which the Commissioner of Police will be informed about the findings.
At the AOG Conference last month, Commodore Esala Teleni had said that he dismissed some police officers after the Holy Spirit spoke to him about these officers transporting drugs to Sigatoka and being involved in some major robberies following which he ordered an immediate investigation into the matter.
