A special team has been formed to investigate allegations that some police officers are allegedly involved in drug trafficking and providing information to Marijuana farmers before a raid.
Officer-In-Charge Drugs ASP Sakeo Ganivatu said the Commissioner of Police, Commodore Esala Teleni has been informed of the allegations and has ordered for an immediate investigation.
According to ASP Ganivatu, this is the major reason why most of the farmers flee their farms before police arrive to carry out the raids.
