It will be a special moment for three individuals when the Fiji Pearls meet the Malawi netball side next week.
Fiji Pearls captain Matila Waqanidrola, co-captain Taraima Rara-Mitchell and coach Unaisi Rokoura played for the national side the last time Fiji met Malawi which was in 2006 in the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Seven years down the line and goal shooter Taraima Mitchell still recalls that game as they lost to Malawi by 53-52.
Meanwhile, the touring Malawi side lost to the Silver Ferns in their first test match last night 70-32 and the second match will be held on Sunday.
The 5th ranked Malawi Queens will meet the 7th ranked Fiji Pearls on the 2nd and 4th of next month at the Vodafone Arena.
