A 42 year old man is expected to appear in a special court sitting in the Nadi Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Divisional Traffic Officer Western ASP Richard Raju said the vehicle has been seized and the man is expected to be charged as soon as the post mortem is completed.
The 28 year old, a staff of Denarau was crossing at a bend when he was hit by the driver who is alleged to have been drunk.
Meanwhile, police have arrested and charged five men who were drinking and driving so far this long weekend. They have been bailed to appear court at a later date.
