Special committee to look into Kadavu House
Government representative and the former chairman of Kadavu Provincial Council, Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said yesterday's focus was to appoint people in leadership within the province who are familiar with the law and who can address the issues.
This is after questions were raised as to who were the real owners of Kadavu House.

Fijivillage News had earlier raised the issue that concerns were being raised on how Kadavu House which has been funded through a 14 million dollar Fiji National Provident Fund loan is benefitting the province and the ordinary people of Kadavu.
Fijivillage News also established that Kadavu Provincial Council has not been given any returns from Kadavu House to date although the house has been fetching rent since 2007.
Sources have revealed that some shareholders of Kadavu Development Company are not happy with the way the company has been run, and they are calling on the Board to hold the AGM to ascertain the true ownership of Kadavu House.
Meanwhile the Provincial Council is claiming eighty percent of the total shareholding ownership however it is been disputed by the Board of Directors.
The current Director of the Kadavu Development Company, Sakiasi Waqanivavalagi could not be reached for a comment.
