A 25 year old farmer of Sigatoka will appear in a special court sitting at the Sigatoka Magistrates court later today charged with the alleged rape of an expatriate in Natadola beach.
Police Media Liaision officer Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the alleged incident took place when the victim was enjoying picnic with her children and husband at the Natadola Beach.
It is alleged the victim left her family behind and went for a walk along the beach when the farmer grabbed her and allegedly rape her.
The man was on the run after the incident but was arrested last night from his village.
