The Minister for Local Government Filipe Bole has appointed special administrators for various municipalities which has been approved by cabinet this afternoon.
This had been confirmed by the Permanent Secretary Ram Chandar who said the new appointments will replace the Mayors.
The special administrators will resume duties next Monday.
