The position for Lautoka's Special Administrator remains vacant as the Local Government Ministry has now advertised the position.
Local Government Minister Colonel Samuela Saumatua said interested parties can apply for the position.
Last month, government announced that former Ba Mayor, Praveen Bala had been identified as the new Special Administrator for Lautoka however, Colonel Saumatua confirmed government has not made any appointment yet.
He refused to make any further comments.
When contacted, Praveen Bala declined to make any comments this morning.
Meanwhile, Special Administrator for Nadi/Sigatoka Town Councils Aisea Tuidraki is currently acting Special Administrator for Lautoka.
