The Methodist Church is calling for the Fiji Human Rights Commission to speak out on behalf of the secondary school students who have been directed by the interim Minister of Education to be involved in the People's Charter.

Methodist Church General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said that the interim minister's actions teaches the wrong message to the children in being disrespectful to the rule of law, acting contrary to proper legal behaviour.

Waqairatu called on Dr Shaista Shameem to take quick action for the sake of our children.
