Suva Lord Mayor Ratu Peni Volavola has called on the President of the Fiji Local Government Association Rajeshwar Kumar to speak for only himself.
Singh said this morning that majority of the mayors in the country support the People's Charter process.
However, Ratu Peni said that mayors had told Kumar to participate in the National Council for Building a Better Fiji as the Nasinu mayor, not as the President of the Fiji Local Government Association.
Ratu Peni added he has not seen the Draft copy of the consultation document and it’s too early to say whether he supports the People's Charter process.
Kumar said mayors have indicated that they are behind the process to formulate the Charter.
