South Africa’s 46‑6 Pool B victory against Samoa in the Rugby World Cup helped heal the emotional wounds of their defeat by Japan but left the Springboks with battered and bruised bodies.
Coach, Heyneke Meyer jokingly asked how long is the press conference for when he was asked to offer an update on the walking wounded, which included the impressive Eben Etzebeth and captain Jean de Villiers, who almost missed the tournament with a fractured jaw.
Meyer says his not sure because a lot of players have gone for X‑rays and De Villiers is one of them. He says there are five or six other players with injuries.
Meanwhile, Wales has pulled off a remarkable 28-25 win over England.
Gareth Davies scored a spectacular try for Wales with ten minutes remaining.
Dan Biggar also kicked seven penalties, the last of which from the half‑way line sealed a dramatic turnaround.

In another match this morning, Italy defeated Canada 23‑18.
Australia will clash with Uruguay at 11 tonight, Scotland will play USA at 1.30am tomorrow while Ireland will play Romania at 3.45am.
