South Africa is still the number 1 seeded team in the George 7's this weekend.

Despite failing to defend the Dubai 7's last weekend, the Paul Treu coached side are the favourite to defend their title in the second tournament of the first leg of the IRB 7's series.

Treu will have to do alot of work in the next 3 days after his side failed to find their winning form in Dubai where they lost to Australia in the Plate final before going down to Fiji in the cup quarters.

The IRB 7's series champion are currently on 5th position with 8 points and they will want to win this weekend to be back on track in their campaign.

South Africa is in Pool A with France, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji 7s reps Niumaia Cakacaka and Jerry Burotu have been ruled out of this weekends and are now returning home.

They have been replaced by Nadi's Turuva Lumelume and Suva's Josefa Bole, who were named in the non-travelling reserves.

The George 7s tournament will kick off on Friday.

Fiji is pooled with Portugal, Russia and Australia.
