The South Africa Sevens team will be looking to make good use of their home ground advantage when the inaugural Cape Town Sevens kicks off today.

The South Africans were knocked out of the Dubai 7s last weekend by the USA and will be looking to make amends in front of a sold out crowd at the Cape Town Stadium.

Coach Neil Powell has admitted that it will not be easy as they will be without the services of World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year Werner Kok, while playmaker Cecil Afrika will also be absent with a hamstring string.

Powell says they have also been drawn in a tough pool with England, Kenya and Zimbabwe.

However, Springbok Sevens captain Kyle Brown is confident that replacements Dylan Sage and Rosko Specman will be up to the task.

Brown was also impressed with the performance of Francois Hougaard in Dubai last week and he will be looking for more of the same in Cape Town.

Fiji plays Scotland at 9.59pm today, they play Russia at 1.20am tomorrow and the final pool match against Argentina will be at 5.03am tomorrow.

The Cup quarter finals will start at 11.04pm tomorrow, the Cup semis start at 3.34am Monday while the Cup final will kick off at 6.30am Monday.
