"We move to Hong Kong, with more confidence".

These are sentiments echoed by South Africa coach Paul Treu as he takes over a young side to meet up with the experienced players from other teams that will also be taking part.

Treu confirmed they have made four changes to the team as they have a few players with injuries who are unavailable for selection, but they still have the starting seven from the final against Fiji in USA, which means they still have the core of the guys in the team.

South Africa started playing in Hong Kong in 1993, and they have only made three finals, one in 1997, the second Rugby World Cup Sevens, and then consecutive finals where they lost to Fiji and New Zealand.

Treu added that judging from experience it is always important to take a team to Hong Kong that has already been there and done that.

Like with Samoa and Fiji and all those teams when they have won it in the past their guys have been around for quite a while.

South Africa head Pool E with Wales, Hong Kong and Spain, while Fiji head Pool D with Kenya, Russia and Malaysia.

The Hong Kong 7s kicks off on Friday next week.
