All Blacks second five-eighth Sonny Bill Williams is ruled out for Crusaders match against the Chiefs on Saturday night.
Williams joined flanker Matt Todd, Israel Dagg, Andy Ellis, and Sam and Adam Whitelock on the growing list of the walking wounded.
Coach Todd Blackadder will welcome back All Black lock Brad Thorn who will come off the bench against the Chiefs.
More good news could be coming next week with All Blacks and Crusaders captain Richie McCaw, indicating that he was ready to follow Dan Carter and resign with the New Zealand Rugby Union.
Crusaders host the Chiefs on Saturday at 7.35pm.
