The chairman of the Fiji Performing Rights Association said Fiji's song-writers and composers will benefit from an agreement signed with new television operator Mai TV.

Eremasi Tamanisau said under the terms of the agreement, Mai TV will provide regular royalty payments to the FPRA for the use of local and international musical works contained within programs broadcast on the new TV channel.

Mai TV CEO Richard Broadbridge said Mai TV will offer Fiji a choice on how they wish to be entertained from May this year.
